Brainland ("we", "us", "our") is a free educational platform for primary school students. We take your privacy seriously — especially because our users are children. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it.

What We Collect

When you use Brainland, we may collect:

• Account info: Display name and email address (if you sign in)
• Learning data: XP scores, quiz answers, streaks, achievements, and zone progress
• Device info: Browser type, screen size, and language preference (for improving the experience)

We do NOT collect home addresses, phone numbers, photos, or any sensitive personal information.

How We Use Your Data

• To save your learning progress and sync it across devices
• To show leaderboards and achievements
• To improve Brainland and fix bugs

We do NOT sell your data. We do NOT show ads. We do NOT share your data with third parties for marketing.

Data Storage

Your data is stored securely on Google Firebase servers. We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information.

Children's Privacy

Brainland is designed for children aged 7–12. We comply with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). We minimize data collection to only what's needed for the platform to work. Parents can request deletion of their child's data at any time.

Cookies & Local Storage

We use browser local storage to remember your preferences (theme, language, sound settings) and keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking cookies.

Your Rights

You (or your parent/guardian) can:

• Request to see what data we have about you
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Update or correct your information
